Advisory Openings
CLEET ADVISORY – AT-LARGE REPRESENTATIVE
The current term of an incumbent representative on the Advisory Council for the At-Large Representative is ending and the Council on Law Enforcement Education and Training (CLEET) is accepting applications, letters of interest, and resumes from those individuals who wish to be considered as an appointee to serve on the CLEET Advisory Council. The incumbent is eligible to apply for reappointment, but the Council will consider any qualified applicants for possible appointment. Members must be active certified full-time peace officers.
The responsibilities of Advisory Council members are found in 70 O.S., § 3311, Paragraph B, which states “ . . . discuss problems and hear recommendations concerning necessary research, minimum standards, educational needs, and other matters imperative to upgrading Oklahoma law enforcement to professional status.” The Advisory Council meets quarterly, in Ada, approximately two weeks prior to scheduled Council meetings.
If you are interested in serving on the Advisory Council as the representative from the At-Large Representative, please submit the Advisory Council application, letter of interest, and a resume to CLEET, Attention: Shelly Lowrance at shelly.lowrance@cleet.state.ok.us by September 20, 2024. This will be forwarded to the Advisory Council for consideration and recommendation. The Advisory Council’s recommendation will be taken to the Council for final approval.
CLEET ADVISORY – NORTHEAST QUADRANT
The current term of an incumbent representative on the Advisory Council for the NE Quadrant is ending and the Council on Law Enforcement Education and Training (CLEET) is accepting applications, letters of interest, and resumes from those individuals who wish to be considered as an appointee to serve on the CLEET Advisory Council. The incumbent is eligible to apply for reappointment, but the Council will consider any qualified applicants for possible appointment. Members must be active certified full-time peace officers.
Northeast Quadrant consists of the following counties: Kay, Noble, Payne, Osage, Pawnee, Creek, Washington, Tulsa, Okmulgee, Nowata, Rogers, Waggoner, Muskogee, Craig, Mayes, Cherokee, Ottawa, Adair, and Delaware.
